The report "Social Determinants of Health: approach from the perspective of civil society", developed by the General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain in collaboration with 14 organisations that make up the Social Advisory Council of the Pharmaceutical Profession was presented during the past CNF.
Javier Padilla, Secretary of State for Health, stated that Pharmacy in Spain is already a model promoting equity. Moreover, he said, “social determinants must be tackled in the field, by two health agents: Primary Care and Community Pharmacy. It is necessary to work towards greater continuity of care between the two of them.
