Mónica García, newly appointed Minister of Health, hosted the Steering Committee of the General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain, that expressed the willingness of the entire pharmaceutical profession to strengthen the National Health System and improve its equity, especially through the pharmacy network.
On this matter, Jesús Aguilar reminded the Minister of Health the enormous
potential of the network of 22,220 community pharmacies to strengthen primary care and the tasks of prevention and public health, as they are the closest health resource to the citizen, accounting for 2.3 million citizens on a daily basis, without waiting lists or appointments.
