On World Mental Health Day, the General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain took stock of the “Rural Mental Health Schools,” an initiative in which 300 pharmacies throughout Spain located in towns with fewer than 30,000 inhabitants have provided training sessions on mental health and self-care to almost 8,000 people, including caregivers, patients, and citizens, throughout this year.
Specifically, pharmacists offered a Health Education Service through two types of training sessions, one for patients and another for caregivers, in which different issues were addressed.
