The acting Minister of Health, José Manuel Miñones, joined in the celebration of World Pharmacists' Day in a meeting with representatives from the Spanish Pharmacy Representative Bodies) in Mondéjar (Guadalajara), where he visited a pharmacy.

During the meeting, Miñones, as a pharmacist by profession, congratulated his fellow pharmacists, stating that World Pharmacists' Day provides us with "the evidence of collaborating with community pharmacies due to their unique capillarity, thanks to the more than 22,000 health centres and their presence in rural areas, which is key for the provision of pharmaceutical services to citizens".

In this sense, he has committed to developing the Rural Pharmacy Programme before the end of the year.
