The Vice-President of the Government and Minister for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera; the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias; the Minister of Social Rights and Agenda 2030, Ione Belarra; and the President of the General Council of Pharmacists Associations, Jesús Aguilar; signed a collaboration protocol on 1 March in Briñas (La Rioja) with the aim of improving social and health care for people living in rural and depopulated areas, especially the most vulnerable. The text also aims to take advantage of the health and social potential of rural pharmacies to offer care services and combat depopulation, as well as to guarantee the economic viability of pharmacies in these areas.
