Last year, the pharmaceutical profession promoted 435 projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), of which 261 (60%) are new initiatives, started and/or carried out in 2024.
This is according to the III Social Barometer of the Pharmaceutical Profession, which the General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain has released on the occasion of World Pharmacists Day, celebrated every September 25.
This event is promoted by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) under the slogan “Think about health, think about pharmacist”, and in Spain it has been accompanied by the hashtag #ConCienciaFarmacéutica para mejorar el mundo (With Pharmaceutical Science to Improve the World), with the aim of highlighting the dual contribution of pharmacists to health, from a scientific and healthcare perspective and through their vocation and social commitment.
