The President of the General Council of Pharmacists, Jesús Aguilar, has met with the new Ministry of Health, the first being a pharmacist in Spain, accompanied by members of his cabinet. During the meeting, the main current health and pharmaceutical issues were reviewed, among which the President of the General Council highlighted the need to "increase the healthcare capacity of the National Health System, especially in Primary Care". For this challenge, Jesús Aguilar has made available to the Minister "the network of 22,198 pharmacies, which reinforces the scope of our health system” and called for the regional agreement supporting the introduction of new remunerated pharmaceutical care services”.
